Such disrespect for Thaipusam
I STRONGLY agree with the view of Jayaraj KGS to ban non-religious kavadis during Thaipusam.
First of all, we should really understand the meaning of the Thaipusam festival.
We often see Hindus carrying kavadis to fulfil their vows but what made me sad this year was to see the kavadis with EPL symbols.
Not only that, I have seen our youngsters smoking inside the temple. They are also irritating, rude and throw rubbish everywhere. There is no respect shown to Thaipusam. Why?
I hope the authorities will be forewarned and come out with strict rules to prevent a repetition of such behaviour.
